WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO BECOME A MODERATOR?

To become an effective moderator you need:

  • to have effective communication skills
  • to have extensive experience as an assessor
  • to be able to make clear and consistent moderation judgements
  • to be able to facilitate discussions about assessment
  • to be open to learning new ways of assessing
  • to understand your role in the moderator system
  • to be able to use the moderation system to report amendments to Learning State in a timely manner
