WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT REGISTRATION AS A WORKPLACE ASSESSOR?

If you're self-employed, once you're a registered workplace assessor, Learning State will include you on its register of assessors. The register includes your contact details and the subjects you are registered to assess. If you are employed by an agency, you will not be included in the register.

What does registration as a workplace assessor cost?

If you are employed by a member agency:

  • your registration is free,
  • you must pay any costs associated with your training in the required standard, but discuss this with your agency as it may cover these costs.

If you are not employed by a member agency:

  • your registration fee is $168.75 including GST, payable with your application,
  • your renewal fee every three years is $168.75 including GST,
  • you must pay any costs associated with training in the required standard.

How long does registration as a workplace assessor last?

Registration as a workplace assessor with us is for a three year period.

What do I do at the end of my three year registration as a workplace assessor?

Before the expiry of the three years you must apply to re-register as a workplace assessor.

You must have:

  • carried out at least four assessments each year,
  • actively engaged in your own professional development (for example, upskilled in areas relevant to your registration scope),
  • participated in any moderation requirements,
  • attended at least two Learning State Workplace Assessor forums over the three year period.

What does re-registration as a workplace assessor cost?

If you are an employee of a member agency, your three year re-registration is free.

If you are not an employee of a member agency, the three year re-registration fee is $168.75 including GST.
