Are you aged 16 to 21 and working in the State sector, but want more out of your working life? If so, you're in the right place - kick-start your career with a Modern Apprenticeship. A Modern Apprenticeship is an agreement you make with a State sector agency. You agree to complete a structured learning programme (which will result in your being awarded a national qualification) at the same time as working for that agency. It isn't a 'one size fits all' kind of thing. You might wear a suit, you might wear jeans - whatever is right for the job. And you're not locked into working for just one agency forever - the skills you learn are transferable, so you can move around. And Learning State is there every step of the way ― leading workplace learning in the State sector. What do I get out of being a Modern Apprentice?Earn while you learn - no need for a student loan. How long does a Modern Apprenticeship take?A Modern Apprenticeship takes only 2 to 3 years. What does a Modern Apprenticeship cost?A modern apprenticeship may not cost you much at all.
