Public Sector Decision-Making with Official Data

A short course aimed at public sector employees who need to develop their skills and knowledge in statistics, gain awareness of the ethical and legal constraints on statistics and the ability to use statistics to inform policy decisions.

The course is orchestrated by StatisticsNZ run out of Victoria University, and leads to an NZQA-approved certificate qualification at level 5.

There are five unit standards to complete. Alternatively, employees can just attend the workshops as stand alone courses without completing the assessments.

Workshops run 9.00am - 5.00pm:

Friday 27 July,
Thursday 30 and Friday 31 August (both days),
Thursday 25 October Friday 26 October (both days),
Thursday 6 and Friday 7 December (both days).
